 Daily use and maintenance of battery pack

1 Battery Pack Storage

The storage temperature is-20 °C ~ 40 °c (the best storage temperature is 10 °C ~ 25 °C, dry storage) , the performance of the battery is affected by the temperature, the most intuitive performance is the change of the battery capacity, which is a normal phenomenon. Avoid the storage process of temperature changes in the condensation phenomenon, or will lead to the battery or metal parts of the rust.


2 battery pack check before use

Check the battery case and accessories for damage, leakage, missing and other undesirable phenomena, if there is damage, missing please contact the company after-sales personnel

 

lClean the installation position of battery pack to ensure no dust, metal foreign body or other foreign body. No smoke and fire during installation. Avoid Short circuit of battery pack to prevent equipment damage or injury.

l Battery pack in place, battery pack placed in installation position, battery pack should be installed in a well-ventilated, dry, clean environment, not to install the battery pack in a place where there is a risk of flooding, battery pack should be used and stored to avoid connection, near-inflammable and explosive materials.

lFasten the electric wire terminal to the battery pack terminal, don't force too much or exceed the specified torque when fastening, otherwise the terminal may be damaged.

lAfter installation, check whether the terminals are secured in place, whether there are sundries on the surface of the battery pack, clean the battery pack with dry cloth, pack the battery pack, clean the battery pack pack pack pack pack with tools that generate static electricity easily, and use organic solvents such as volatile oil, otherwise, it will damage the outer packing of the battery pack and even cause the outer packing of the battery pack to crack.

l Make sure that the positive (+) and negative (-) polarity of the battery terminals are connected correctly. Otherwise, it may cause fire or damage to battery pack and electrical appliances.

lTest run, observe the equipment and battery pack for any abnormal condition.

3 Battery Pack Requirements

l The charging and discharging current of the battery shall not exceed the maximum regulated charging and discharging current, and the use of charging and discharging above the regulated current may affect the service life of the battery or damage the internal circuit of the battery, or even cause danger.

lThe discharge current shall not exceed the specified maximum discharge current, discharge above the specified current may affect the battery life or internal circuit damage.

lWhen the battery pack power shortage, should be timely charging, which is conducive to extending the battery life. If the battery is not charged in time, the battery will be short of power for a long time, and the battery will be over-discharged due to the self-consuming power of the protecting board and other components.

lThe lithium-ion battery is beneficial to increase cycle life, users are advised to discharge up to 80% of nominal capacity.

4 daily maintenance of battery pack

l Long-term unused battery may be due to its self-discharge characteristics in the state of over-discharge. Overdischarge will lead to the loss of battery function. In order to prevent the occurrence of over-discharge, the battery should be regularly charged and discharged to maintain its voltage within a certain range. It is recommended that the battery pack be charged and discharged once within 2 months (a battery pack with communication function is recommended to be charged and discharged at least once within 1 month, where the SOC/capacity needs to be calibrated by charging the battery pack with a charger and discharging it to the battery pack protection. The charge and discharge voltages of different battery systems are as follows: Lithium Iron Phosphate battery: Charging Voltage is 3.6 v * N; discharge voltage: Monomer over-discharge Protection Value * N (N stands for string number) of Protection Board; Ternary battery: Charging Voltage is 4.2 v * N; discharge voltage: Monomer over-discharge protection value * N (N stands for string number) of protection board.

lDo not use organic solvents to clean battery pack housings.

lThe shallow charging and discharging of the battery can ensure the economical use of the battery pack.

lLithium-ion batteries at the end of their life are recycled and disposed of in accordance with local laws.

5 battery pack of common failures and Solutions (involving the removal of battery pack needs professional to do)

1) battery pack voltage too low or zero

lBattery Pack Long Time Storage is not used, and not in accordance with the provisions of maintenance.

Solution: Charge the battery pack.

lBattery Pack Open

Solution: remove the battery pack, check whether the circuit is broken, check whether the solder joint is off, whether the nickel strip is broken, according to the situation to repair the damage.

lThe plates aren't working

Solution: First of all, make sure that the wiring of the protective plate is in good contact with the protective plate, and observe whether the solder joints fall off. If the above situation is normal, test the voltage between B + and b-and the voltage between P + and P-, if the two voltages are quite different, means the panel's broken. Need a professional to carry out detailed testing of the protective panels.

lThe battery pack has been subjected to severe impact, characterized by damage to the outside of the battery case or the odor of the battery pack containing electrolyte.

Solution: determine if there is a problem with the output line or with the battery pack itself. First take apart the battery case, check the battery pack P +/C + and P-/c-line or, solder joints are not damaged, if there is damage, need to be replaced. The battery pack is then smelted to determine the smell. If there is a pungent electrolyte smell, it means that the battery pack has leaked liquid. It is necessary to test the voltage of each battery pack, if there is a bunch of voltage and other groups of voltage difference is too large and very low battery need to replace this bunch.

2) insufficient capacity

Solution: the Battery Pack Charge and discharge cycle, generally 3-5 cycles.

3) battery voltage instability or abnormal charging and discharging

lDummy welding

Solution: Use Internal Resistance Tester to test the internal resistance of battery pack. If the internal resistance exceeds the specified value, there may be virtual welding inside the battery pack, which needs to be taken apart and rewelded.

lThe Shield is abnormal

Solution: replace the protective plate

lBad contact of terminal or connector

Solution: replace terminals or connectors
